In 2004, three great organizations came together to make KLUB 91.7 - a reality for the kids at the Lehi Branch of The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale; (http://lehibranch.bgcs.org) Perry Damone, Chairman, KDSTR Radio Corp (KidStar), BGCGS, Brian Yazzi, Director, and Dave Smoot Co-Founder of the Pro Players Classic. This was the very first KidStar station to be located within a Boys and Girls Club.

The KidStar Broadcasters at The KLUB had the great opportunity to interview Dr. Robert Ballard, the modern day "Captain Nemo". If Dr. Ballard's name is not familiar to you or it is but you're not sure where you have heard of him, think Titanic. Dr. Ballard has long been associated with the National Geographic Society and is best known for his discovery of the legendary Titanic and underwater explorations of the Bismarck, Lusitania, and Britannic.
