BREAKING NEWS

A MESSAGE FROM FOUNDER PERRY DAMONE

Dear KidStar family,

Perry_and_Jeff_SpenardIn August of 2010 I met an incredible gentleman with an extraordinary vision by the name of Jeff Spenard. Jeff is the President of World Talk Radio LLC / Voice America. We sat down to discuss a new channel that Voice America was thinking of launching; Voice America Kids. This was the beginning of a collaborative effort between World Talk Radio/ Voice America and KDSTR Radio Corp. The KidStar team consulted with Jeff Spenard and his unbelievably talented staff for the past seven months to create and launch the VAK network with a short term goal of twenty Voice America Kids network shows to expand to one hundred shows in the next twelve months. We have now met that short term goal of twenty all kid run shows covering topics from sports, to politics, to school issues, to fashion, travel and even a show that is hosted by two ten year olds called “Life At Ten; in fact we are already in the process of adding several more shows to the line up in the next couple of months.

Our goal, for the past twenty four years has been to give our kids a voice to the world and open the door to their future through radio. We have had a plan in place to expand across the country and introduce the KidStar Program to hundreds of schools and Boys and Girls Clubs. I am thrilled to announce that because of this collaborative effort between World Talk Radio LLC/Voice America Kids; that the next step in expanding our program is becoming a reality.

World Talk Radio LLC/Voice America Kids has chosen KDSTR Corp. a not for profit 501 ( c ) 3, as their charity of choice, giving back to the KidStar Radio Network a portion of sponsor proceeds from the Voice America Kids Network. This will also give new ‘Champion” sponsors that come on board a chance to help grow this incredible network but also realize that a portion of those funds would go to expanding the KidStar Program across the country and eventually around the world.

If you are not familiar with the KidStar Program, I would like to invite you to take a stroll trough our incredible website that our dear friend Ruth Woody from 977 Media has put together for us, you can also read a bit about us below.

As part of this journey, we have added a link on the KidStar homepage that will simulcast all the incredible Voice America Kids programming, now there will be two places that you can enjoy the programming, right here on the KidStar Network home page and also at

www.voiceamericakids.com.

I would like to take a moment and thank everyone that has made this dream come to reality, we are about to embark on the second journey that will take us to one hundred cities across the country in 1.7 years and placing KidStar broadcast facilities in one hundred schools and Boys and Girls Clubs along with them becoming Voice America Kids Network affiliates.
